Introduction to the advantages of O-ring seals

We've previously discussed O-rings, highlighting their advantages in sealing performance. Here are some other points to consider regarding O-rings:
1. Small size and easy installation/removal: Due to the extremely simple structure of the O-ring and its mounting components, and their standardized design, installation and replacement are very easy. They can be used for both static and dynamic sealing, with virtually no leakage when used for static sealing.
2. A single O-ring provides bidirectional sealing.
3. Low dynamic friction resistance.
4. Low cost. A variety of materials are available to suit different fluids: nitrile rubber (NRB), fluororubber (FKM), silicone rubber (VMQ), ethylene propylene rubber (EPDM), neoprene rubber (CR), butyl rubber (BU), polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), and natural rubber (NR), among others.
In short, O-rings offer simple structure, easy disassembly, good sealing performance, and a moderate price, making them a key advantage and a cost-effective option.
