WELCOME TO BOILPEAK

Hello! Welcome to inquire about our rubber O-ring seals.

Encapsulated O-Rings

Encapsulated O-rings are specially designed sealing elements that combine the chemical resistance of PTFE (Teflon) with the elasticity of rubber. They consist of a rubber core (typically FKM or silicone) enclosed in a thin, seamless outer jacket made of PTFE or FEP.

Product Detail

Structure:
  • ● Core: Provides resilience and compression (usually FKM for chemical resistance or silicone for low-temperature flexibility).
  • ● Encapsulation: A FEP (fluorinated ethylene propylene)or PFA (perfluoroalkoxy) outer shell offers excellent chemical and thermal resistance.

Key Features:
  • ● Excellent Chemical Resistance: Inert to most aggressive chemicals, acids, and solvents.
  • ● Wide Temperature Range: Typically from –60°C to +260°C(–76°F to +500°F), depending on materials used.
  • ● Low Friction Surface: Smooth PTFE outer layer resists sticking and eases installation.
  • ● Non-contaminating: Suitable for hygienic or cleanroom environments.

Applications:

  • ● Chemical Processing Equipment
  • ● Pharmaceutical & Food Industries
  • ● Semiconductor Manufacturing
  • ● Paint and Ink Production
  • ● Cryogenic Systems

Advantages:

    • ● Combines elasticity with chemical inertness
    • ● Non-stick and easy to clean
    • ● Withstands aggressive media and extreme temperatures

Encapsulated O-rings are ideal when standard elastomers fail due to chemical attack or temperature extremes, offering a reliable and durable sealing solution in the harshest environments.
